Braeface Stud is pleased to present Schiller a 16.3hh dark bay Dutch stallion by the famous show-jumping sire Ahorn.
Schiller was imported from Holland in late February of 2002, during April he was presented at the Scottish Sports Horse annual stallion grading. Schiller stood top of the line against 23 other stallions that were presented. He was the only stallion worthy of gaining fully licensed status; this is the highest status that can be awarded on a stallion's first visit to the grading.
The judges described Schiller as being the ideal rectangular shape for a modern day sports horse. His extravagant movement is coupled with power and grace, this power is further expressed does what he loves best "jumping". From his exceptional breeding this ability to jump is no surprise. At the grading in April his jumping took the audiences breath away, the judges described him as having a fabulous technique along with scope and ability to be a forward thinking horse. He won his loose jumping qualifier at Muirmill in September 2002.
Schiller is currently eventing with David Gatherer and had a successful first season in 2007, culminating in his selection for the BEF World Class Equine Pathway programme which aims to identify and support elite young horses which show the potential to medal for GB at future championships or Olympic levels.
