Salerno is a 16hh grey Stallion. At the SSH Grading in April 2002 the Dutch judges Salerno as "a beautiful and intelligent horse".
He is athletic, powerful and supple allied to a very elegant action. He glides across the ground and is light on his feet with a good shoulder that allows him to have fabulous carriage and good extension.
Salerno is by the internationally recognised show jumping stallion Corland who is very popular breeding at the present time. He was retired in 2002 at the top of his career.
He was ridden by Wout-janvan der Schans and very successful internationally. In only two seasons of breeding he has produced three licensed sons namely Pacific, Sir Corland and Silverstar.
Salerno gained fully licensed status at the SSH Grading held at Gleneagles in 2003. He was third in the line up, beaten only by two other more mature Braeface Stud stallions.
He is a fabulous character in and out of the stable and is sure to be successful in either discipline, dressage or show jumping, next season.
