Tancer is an impressive 16.2 bright bay Stallion with fantastic movement and range, together with strong conformation and a wonderful temperament. He is out of the Holstein stallion, Lancer II, widely considered to be one of the best sons of Landgraf I in breeding.

Landgraf II was standing in the Rheinland for many years, when he brought back to Holstein because his offspring were so successful.  Currently, over 30 of Lancer II's offspring are active in German showjumping sport at S-level (1.4m) the best known being Hidden Creek's Angel, Lacelott, Ladiano, Lucy May, Loxley, San Patrignano Lancerina and Lara.

Tancer carries the necessary dash of thoroughbred blood on his dam's side via the stallion Man in the Moon xx. His Grandam, Belmadante also produced, in combination with Topas, the successful international showjumping horse Elmadante, under Henke van de Broek.

In the pedigree of Tancer we find an accumulation of the best Holstein showjumping blood via the stallions Lancer II (Landgraf I), Amor (Herrscher), Normann (Heidelberg) and twice Domburg (Cicero III). In addition, Tancer comes from a wide-branched family (NL-mare line 077) which has been generating fine sport horses for many years, examples being the international showjumping horses Goudsmid (Normann) under Jan Maathiusmid, Halanta (Renville) under Roelof Brill and Hildon Cacherel (Goodtimes) under Samantha McIntosch.
