We have two qualified AI technicians on site and have daily access to our breeding specialist Vets, The Equine Veterinary Practice, Renfrewshire. All our staff are experienced in handling mares, foals and stallions.
Our own fully equipped AI laboratory has facilities for fresh, chilled and frozen semen collection, shipping, storage. Next door is the rubber-matted purpose built covering area with "Dorris" the dummy for covering and stocks for mare scanning and insemination.
Mares and foals can be taken at livery for AI, foaling and weaning utilizing our designated livery and foaling boxes with CCTV/web cam links. Mares can be taken in for insemination by our own stallions or, by arrangement, with other Stallions. All mares visiting Braeface for AI services must be tested for CEM and EVA before coming to Braeface Stud.
